It's always satisfying to know a composition has found a home with a publisher, but there are some acceptances that are more exciting than others! I found out yesterday that "I Carry Your Heart With Me" was accepted by Walton Music and will be featured in their 2020 catalog. Walton Music has a long reputation of publishing excellent choral literature by composers that I deeply admire, including Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjeilo, Alice Parker, Kim André Arnesen, and others. I am honored that they also support new composers like myself who still have a lot to learn! I can't wait to get into the editing process with the amazing Susan LaBarr and see the piece fine-tuned so choirs around the world can begin to enjoy this piece as much as I have while working on it.
